Renishaw Food Fair - 9th August 2009
Kay Weston was galvanised into action when Reverend Helen offered everyone £10 of "Talents".
Kay heard that the food fair had a stall available for just one day on the 9th August, so, using her talents organised a Bake Stall.
With helpers from St Matthew's and St Giles, Cooks and Chefs amassed a mountain of Cakes, Buns, Tarts, Cookies, Biscuits and Sweets. It was a gloriously sunny day. The goodies almost sold themselves and were flying off the stall, and with the many supplies available the stall never looked anything but perfect and pristine. It was a tiring weekend for all involved, Betty got the Renishaw end of things sorted, then there are the cooks, bakers and chefs and all the helpers on the day, but most of all the wonderful organising and leadership shown by Kay, our hero of the day.
Well done and thank you to everyone who helped;
preparing, cooking, baking, working on stall and supporting us on the day..
Kay has increased her "Talents" from £10 to over £300, to be shared between St Matthew's and St Giles.
These are just some of the photographs captured on the day, there are sure to be many more.
