How does Messy Church Work?
We now have designated people who on the day
welcome and offer name labels to all serve drinks and biscuits engage with the chill and thrill of reading, playing games, jigsaws etc art and craft activities (these are mostly run by leaders who are either teachers or teaching assistants) worship is offered by our current worship leader at St Giles, Revd Mouncer and another church member food is prepared by a group of people
The whole of every Messy Church is planned and co-ordinated by a teacher who utilises her gifts of teaching and effective people’s skills to motivate all who are directly involved with Messy Church. A meeting after each Messy Church allows for reflection, honing of expertise, listening to feedback from adults and children as well as preparation for the next Messy Church session.
Some of our St Giles Sunday worshipping congregation are unable to come to Messy Church however they do support through;
offering a financial donation of £5-00 per month
