Update on - The Shepherds
Just to let you know how we are going on with the search for the family.
We have only found one relative at Killamarsh that is someone called Middlebrook he has the dental practice called Benbrook on bridge street, but it is his wife we are actually related to.
We also found another grave in St Giles it was great uncle Abe and his wife Alice. Another piece of info we found out was that my Great Grand parents Albert and Emma had at least 9 children, so we will keep searching.
We have found that we are connected to the Mallender family which seems to be quite a familiar name in Killamarsh. My Great, Great Grandfather John Shepherd (sometimes spelt as Shephard) who once was the licensee of The Navigation Inn at Killamarsh, was married to Mary Mallender, who was the daughter of George Mallender b,1796 and Mary Cutt also b.1796, if you have any information on the Mallender family that would be very much appreciated.
Also Bridge Street in Killamarsh was originally called Shepherd Lane named after my Great, Great Grandfather so I have read in a book about Killamarsh.
